Many immigrant families cope with multiple problems (abuse, neglect, domestic violence, at risk children), little facility, if any, with English and little knowledge of American culture, expectations or laws. The Get Connected Family Resource Center is a place for families of different backgrounds to whom language and culture are barriers, to find out how and where to get the help they need.
Get Connected Family Resource Center provides valuable information and referrals about services that individuals and families in the immigrant community have needed to help achieve self-sufficiency. At the basis of our success is a bilingual and bicultural staff that enables us to provide a culturally competent and responsive setting for our Spanish-speaking clients. We serve Hispanics and other immigrants in Carroll County, along with nonimmigrant families.
Get Connected Family Resource Center Educational Outreach provides information about the American Services available to the Hispanic/Latino families. We also strive to help non-English speaking families from other cultures as well.
The Get Connected Family Resource Center exists to alleviate the frustration of the immigrant when they are unable to navigate the system of care in U.S.A.
